Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Watch Sim app and this website. By downloading or using Watch Sim you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Apple's terms

Watch Sim is licensed to you through the Apple App Store. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app. If these terms conflict with Apple's, Apple's terms control for matters they cover. Apple is not responsible for the app or for providing support for it.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the app or its content, except where the law allows despite this restriction.

3. Virtual items and cash

In-game cash, unlocked parts, jobs, collection slots and rewards exist only within the game. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between players. We may adjust the in-game economy, prices and rewards in updates to keep the game balanced.

4. Purchases

• Optional purchases (Pro and the Style Pack) are one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases billed by Apple. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and tax.
• You can restore them on any device signed in to the same Apple ID using Restore purchases in Settings.
• Refunds are decided by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• We may change what a purchase includes in future updates, but we will not remove features that you already paid for without a fair alternative.

5. Acceptable use

Don't cheat the leaderboards, tamper with the app or its saved data to gain an unfair rank, misuse the app, or use a display name that is offensive, hateful or impersonates someone. We may remove offensive names, and Apple may remove abusive scores from Game Center.

6. Your content

You own the name and watch designs you create. You give us no ownership of them; we only need the app to store and display them on your device. If you share an image of your collection or a score, you are responsible for what you share.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its code, art, sounds, text and design belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. The watch parts, house names and brands in the game are fictional and not affiliated with any real watchmaker. Real manufacturers are not endorsing or connected to the game.

8. Educational content

The lessons and Guide simplify how mechanical watches work for gameplay. They are not professional repair instructions. Do not rely on them to service a real watch.

9. Availability and updates

We may update, change or stop providing the app or parts of it at any time. Game Center features depend on Apple's services.

10. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
